The grace of God to all is shown

The grace of God to all is shown

The grace of God to all is shown
in Jesus’ incarnation.
The Lord takes on a servant's form;
our flesh and blood and nature,
under the law He did author
to keep it perfect and suffer.
God deigns to be our brother.
The grace of God to all is shown
in Jesus’ crucifixion.
Upon that bitter rugged cross
He pays our debts, wages, loss.
“It is finished!” He loudly cries.
Redemption's work is done on high.
And God bows His head and dies.
The grace of God to all is shown
in Jesus’ resurrection:
The proof that every single sin
has been fully forgiven.
The Son of God whose word is true
goes to prepare for me and you
a home in Heaven's mansions.
The grace of God to all is shown
in the word that is written:
How we are justified by grace-
that Christ gladly took our place,
by his merits we're made righteous,
through faith we receive forgiveness.
The gospel is Christ Jesus. Amen.
