O Father, King Eternal,
Whose voice the heavens obey,
Thou spread’st the stars like embers,
And rolled the night to day.
Thy hands have carved the mountains,
And filled the seas with might;
Send us forth with burning zeal,
Thy truth to bear as light.

O Christ, the world’s Redeemer,
In flesh, Thou cam’st to die,
The Lamb upon the altar,
Lifted high to the sky.
Thine anguish rent the heavens,
Thy blood, the world restored;
Send us forth as heralds bold,
Thy triumph to outpour.

O Spirit, Flame of Heaven,
Descend with tongues of fire,
Consume our hearts with holy love,
Our souls with zeal inspire.
Like wind upon the waters,
Thou stir the dead to life;
Send us forth, with breath divine,
To conquer sin and strife.

O Church, arise in splendour,
Thou Bride of Christ adored,
Thy mission is the nations,
Thy banner is the Lord.
Go forth with love unyielding,
Proclaim the Crucified;
Till all the earth resounds in praise,
And Christ is glorified.
